I noticed that my recent PR was merged into the main branch with all 16 commits. It would keep the repo's commit history cleaner if you would use "squash merging" for pull requests. If you want to ensure this approach is used, you can disable the "merge commits" and "rebase merging" options in the repo's settings on GitHub.
