Please take some time to answer the following questions as best you can:
Because it was in this awesome list since Sep 4 2023. But then, in
1a37e188f0, it got removed with a comment continued through CheckMK and OMD Labs-Edition. The faction CheckMK got it's own entry in the list, but OMD Labs was dropped. As OMD Labs and CheckMK focus on different deployment scenarios and both are under active development, i'd like to reintroduce OMD as OMD Labs Edition.More than ten years. I also setup OMD at some large companies.
Professional.
There biggest installation has 800000 hosts and 7 million services. (hierarchical setup at a german retailer with monitoring nodes in every european country)
Pro: installation of one package and basic configuration in a few minutes. Cascading setup is easy. Automated config generator (reading from CMDBs) is included. Both classical (nagios-like) and cloud /prometheus-like) monitoring is included with a common metric database (Victoriametrics) and a common dashboard (Grafana)
Cons: you can't just click around to add new devices into the monitoring.
I'm biased, as i'm one of the authors and also a consultant for OMD.
BTW i did not understand the point "The Language tag ....", that's why i didn't check the box.
