@lissy93 commented on GitHub (Jul 11, 2022):
@Jogai
I think my list is a bit older, but I've just migrated it from the old repo, to a new repo, in order to align with sindresorhus's guidelines. I think my intentions are a bit different from the other list, as I do not want to have the "🚫 Avoid" section which explicitly name's products.
But I agree that it's confusing. I'd be happy to rename it, if you have any other ideas?

Idea began when my high school and lower division college classes went online and I found myself relying on online resources to learn the curriculum. Why do it this way? The idea of awesomelists is to add your resources to the awesomelist they belong to, which in turn you can find in the sindresorhus/awesome repo.
@romausnul You know your comment is basically spam?
@JesseRigon commented on GitHub (Jan 24, 2023):
I actually think the opposite. Obviously Coopossum's list is version .0001 compared to sindresorhus but I would actually think you could put awesome into awesome-commons as "IT" as it very clearly is IT based. Seeing as it is github though I don't think this is the best forum for those categories.

FYI, I prematurely added Repo Reviews in #2689, but it does not conform to the awesome list format. The PR instructions were very helpful in clarifying that 🙏so I closed the PR.
Happy to talk with potential contributors or maintainers for repo-reviews. The idea behind it is to provide a transparent forum for independent reviews of repos, with the goal of increasing efficiency and success in the developer community by sharing user experience stories that are distinct from issues or recommendations. It's a work in progress. I hope this isn't considered spam 🙏

@jamesponddotco Nice. Personally I'd like to see an indicator when its relatively easy to run an instance yourself. For example, biblioreads has instructions to spin up an instance yourself here: https://github.com/nesaku/BiblioReads-Docker, which could be a useful addition on your list.

No longer considering Lissy93/awesome-privacy for here
As I couldn't continue with "Non-generated Markdown file in a GitHub repo." [L63] criteria, as it meant I had to duplicate things in order to maintain awesome-privacy.xyz.
I'm interested to hear if / how anyone else manages an interactive site for their awesome list, while keeping content in pure markdown format? 🤔
@slevithan commented on GitHub (May 5, 2024):
Recently started awesome-regex, but it's well underway.
@ChrisCarini commented on GitHub (May 6, 2024):
Hi @Lissy93 !!! 👋 - I don't have a suggestion here, however I initially had a similar desire in https://github.com/matchai/awesome-pinned-gists/issues/54#issuecomment-1367489734 (an "awesome" repo I assist in maintaining) to be able to add standardization/structuring (and, lint-ing and validations for PRs, etc). I'd personally love to see this requirement opened up a bit to help maintainers automate easier.
I'd love to hear if other maintainers of awesome-list repos are encountering a similar problem/desire here.

Hi @Lissy93 @ChrisCarini I've just started https://github.com/szdytom/awesome-practical-cpp and I have the same problem. I wrote a program to create the list because I dont't want to copy-and-paste the badge links again and again.
Another interesting fact is that some awesome list created long ago don't or no longer fellows the criteria. I guess your list won't be removed if you start automation after your list is accepted.

I also created Awesome J2ME.
While J2ME can be used to create software for Symbian as well source, but I feel like it deserves it own Awesome list focused on it's own native C++/QT environment.

I didn't know until these last two weeks what this was but I've had an incident that trailed me to the interest of coding and all the above. I'm an extremely intrigued. I've just now seen this what I would call and absolute explosion of another worlds literally! I'm just a speck here but I've committed to learning and getting to experience this as one of the most interesting things I've ever done, might sound silly but this is awesome!!! I'm so excited to just write or just do the first part lol. So happy to be here
