Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is an emerging optimization discipline focused on improving the visibility and citability of content in AI-powered search engines and LLM-based answer engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Google AI Overviews. Unlike traditional SEO, GEO targets how AI systems retrieve, synthesize, and cite web content. This curated list covers research papers, practical guides, monitoring tools, AI search engines, optimization strategies (content, technical, authority building), analytics, case studies, communities, and books.
