What is this Python project?

SimPy is a pure Python and mature framework for building models of discrete-event dynamical systems. The list of useful examples could be found here.

What's the difference between this Python project and similar ones?

It seems to be the best (mature, easy-to-use and well-documented) tool for discrete dynamical system modelling... I cann't imagine why it isn't listed here?!

Anyone who agrees with this pull request could vote for it by adding a 👍 to it, and usually, the maintainer will merge it when votes reach 20.
