What is this Python project?

Awesome Python for Social Good is another awesome list with a focus on listing examples and ideas of using Python for Social Good.

What's the difference between this Python project and similar ones?

Unlike the other more technical-focused awesome lists, this one focuses more on gathering ideas for how people could use Python to contribute to the community, tackle some pressing issues in the world (climate change, DDoS attacks on the Internet infrastructure, fake news, bots, trolls…). It's a combination of technical examples & datasets and relevant news & knowledge sources that could be used as motivation. I haven't seen another list that tackles these topics here.
