What is this Python project?

Three different projects: URL manipulation (2) and metadata extraction (1).

What's the difference between this Python project and similar ones?

  • htmldate: better overall recall by extraction, metadata extraction and optional text scraping features
  • netaddr: specific handling of network addresses (IPv4 and IPv6)
  • tldextract: very good coverage of top-level domains, reference can be updated separately
