What is this Python project?

CLI tool. Makes backup copies of your files/directories. Supports TGZ format and annotations.

What's the difference between this Python project and similar ones?

cp
Requires more typing and preferably support of bash, e.g. cp -r /full/path/to/my/file.txt{,.bkp}.
Requires support of rm to remove unused files.
Doesn't support annotations.
Doesn't support TGZ archives.
tar
Requires more typing and preferably support of bash, e.g. tar czvf Makefile{.tgz,}.
Requires support of rm to remove unused files.
Doesn't support annotations.
git
Requires more effort to get familiar with.
Doesn't make redundant copies (for protecting against unreliable storage devices).
Doesn't support TGZ archives.
