📄 Description

What is this Python project?

The segment-anything library (from Meta AI Research) is a very useful tool for object detection and generating masks for objects found in images. It uses a ML model that does not need to be trained beforehand.

What's the difference between this Python project and similar ones?

Other computer vision models need to be trained with training data to find some specific objects in images, whereas this library boasts very strong zero-shot performance (it can be applied to any use case). It streamlines the entire process of finding and highlighting objects in computer vision applications.
