What is this Python project?

Strawberry is a library to create GraphQL APIs using python by adopting a syntax similar to dataclasses and making use of type hints

What's the difference between this Python project and similar ones?

It is a modern library that tries to use the most modern python features to make it easier to develop APIs. It has also a very friendly and welcoming community and it is well maintained :)
