What is this Python project?

An open source, self hosted video and media CMS

What's the difference between this Python project and similar ones?

  1. Modern stack (Python3/Django3/Reactjs).
  2. REST API included.
  3. Support for multiple publishing workflows
  4. Sane defaults for encoding of videos
  5. adaptive streaming (HLS)
  6. resumable uploads (through chunked file uploads)
  7. custom media management dashbord
  8. responsive design - multiple themes
