What is this Python project?

This module converts between binary data and Python datatypes on a per bit level.

What's the difference between this Python project and similar ones?

This module is intended to have a similar interface as the Python struct module, but working on bits instead of primitive data types (char, int, ...). This makes it much more versatile and flexible than the struct module from the standard library. It is a superset of the struct module.
