What is this Python project?

PyInquirer is a wrapper around prompt-toolkit it provides a convenient way of creating common command line interactions. It makes it much easier to create some of the common terminal interactions.

What's the difference between this Python project and similar ones?

The ease of use of of this module over the prompt-toolkit makes it a worthwhile addition to the awesome-python collection.
