It's a modern parser, easy for beginners and useful for experts.

It's competitive with PLY but also adds many more features.

What's the difference between this Python project and similar ones?

vs PLY:

EBNF grammar which is easier to read & write
Earley algorithm support, which is much stronger algorithmically
Automatic line numbering
Automatic AST construction
