Backlight is unique in the sense that everything is based on making design system development and maintenance more accessible to front-end teams, and that means developers but also designers. Backlight really has the collaborative aspect of development at heart.
You can create components in isolation, check the visual real time with stories, test them, write documentation. All in one place.
