Proposal: Add PaperClaw to Markdown Tools for Academic Writing

Project: PaperClaw | GitHub
Category: Markdown Tools / Scientific Writing

Description

PaperClaw is a VS Code extension that turns the editor into a scientific paper authoring tool. It adds:

  • Structured markdown templates for academic papers (IMRaD format)
  • Citation management with BibTeX/APA/MLA export
  • AI-powered peer review scoring (Tribunal system)
  • One-click arXiv-ready PDF export
  • Local LLM integration via CAJAL (Qwen3.6-27B fine-tuned, runs offline on RTX 3090)

Why add it?

This list covers markdown resources. PaperClaw bridges markdown and scientific publishing — a gap most markdown tools don't address. It's open source (Apache 2.0) and part of the P2PCLAW research ecosystem.
