As the name says, the media-upload-plugin was made for uploading media to the server through JellyFin. I would say the biggest reason to use the plugin today is for downloading/bulk-downloading media to the server by just entering one or multiple URLs. Other features are downloading from the server and listing folders/files in directories. I think the description should be changed to something that is a little more descriptive like:
"Versatile media-manager that enhances remote features like downloads, uploads, direct file download queues from URLs, directory browsing and more."
