Hi,
Resource Description
Name: Open-Source Due Diligence Framework (Light)
URL: https://github.com/essadek/A-Practical-Due-Diligence-Framework-Before-Your-Business-Commits-to-Open-Source
Category: Due Diligence
Why should this be added?
As IT leaders, we often face "Shadow IT" or pressure to adopt open-source tools without a clear understanding of their long-term sustainability. I’ve developed a systematic, evidence-based framework to help CTOs and Tech Leads evaluate OSS projects before commitment.
The framework is mapped to CHAOSS metrics and OpenSSF standards, focusing on three key pillars:
It provides a structured "Green/Yellow/Red" safety rating system to make technical risk easier to communicate to non-technical stakeholders.
I believe this would be a valuable addition to the Awesome CTO list under the Governance or Risk management section!
