For CTOs and engineering leaders: a free, open source tool for sharing sensitive files (configs, keys, credentials) securely between team members. AES-256-GCM encryption happens in the browser before upload. The server never receives the key. No account, no vendor lock-in, self-hostable.
Practical use case: developer needs to share a config file with a contractor without emailing it in plaintext or adding them to a cloud service. FileShot generates an encrypted link that self-destructs conceptually — only the person with the exact URL can decrypt.
