After the recent influx of AI spam, which was appropriately taken down by github now after I filed many reports, we may have to deal in the future also with requests of adding code / projects to this list that are AI generated / vibe coded.

One of the examples was this here...
https://github.com/awesome-lists/awesome-bash/pull/149

If this gains more than 100 stars at some point, the current contribution guidelines would not let us easily reject this anymore.

The "Journal of Open Source Software" recently adopted the following policy - which is overkill for this small link collection here - but we should think about something along these lines:

Whether or not you use AI assistance in your development, submissions should demonstrate the irreplaceable human contributions: problem framing, key design decisions, thoughtful architectural choices, and practices that make software usable and sustainable for others.

@Knusper I've also encountered this while co-maintaining git-extras. For this project, my take is that it's best if the policy states any pull request written by AI or opened by an autonomous AI agent will be rejected. I'm of course open to people using it in their workflows, but as you mention the human in the loop needs to bring actual value.

A related project is vouch, but it might be overkill for this project.
