Steps To Reproduce

  1. In iOS password settings, ensure Bitwarden is the only option for selected for AutoFill Passwords
  2. Ensure Bitwarden Vault is Locked
  3. Bring app or website that contains a username and password stored only in the Bitwarden vault.

Expected Result

iOS popup showing just the key icon with the word Passwords. Pressing that would then bring up Bitwarden to log in to.

Actual Result

Despite the Bitwarden vault being locked, iOS popup shows username login from the Bitwarden vault. Pressing the key icon then bring up Bitwarden to log in to and fill the password in.

Actual

Additional Context

Maybe this is a feature but one would presume that no information (inc. usernames) would not be divulged from the locked Bitwarden vault until it's unlocked. In testing a different password manager (i.e. 1Pass) it shows the expected result above unless the vault is already unlocked. Attached are screenshots showing expected with 1Pass versus actual with Bitwarden.

Operating System

iOS

Operating System Version

iOS

Device

iPhone 14 Pro Max

Build Version

16.4.1

Beta

  • Using a pre-release version of the application.
