Origin

Native Application (non-browser app)

Web URL or App name

All

Passkey Action

  • Creating new passkey (Registration)
  • Signing in (Authentication)

Build Information

On my Redmi Note 12, Google Passkey intercepts all apps, including Bitwarden; I can’t save or use it, except for KeepassDX, which works regardless. Why can’t the others do the same, including Bitwarden?

Additional Information

No response

Issue Tracking Info

  • I understand that work is tracked outside of Github. A PR will be linked to this issue should one be opened to address it, but Bitwarden doesn't use fields like "assigned", "milestone", or "project" to track progress.

Hi there,

I attempted to reproduce your issue and was unable to do so. I think your error could have its origin in needing to ensure that Android is configured as the default option for using and storing passkeys on your device and that you have at least Android 14 installed on your phone.

"On Android, version 14.0 or higher is required for storing and using passkeys. There may be additional setup steps required. Learn more." - https://bitwarden.com/help/storing-passkeys/#using-passkeys-with-bitwarden
