Steps To Reproduce

I got the new design on my Android phone today. I understand that the old design couldn't be kept, but I think the new one could be improved.

The problem I am having is that the font in the new UI appears smaller, and lighter weight, than the other apps on my phone. My eyesight is not very good and I have difficulty reading light-weight fonts (the weight is a bigger problem than the size— the entire industry appears to be moving to progressively lighter fonts and it causes big problems for me). The entire point of the BitWarden app is to read things out of it so this is a big problem for me. I'm struggling to use the new app because while I'm copying things out I'm having to do things like squint or move the phone close to my face. It is inconvenient.

Expected Result

Offer font controls of some sort, even if it's "use system font". Alternately, bump everything up in the app by one font size. If I increase the "Font Size" in my Android "Display size and text" settings, the BitWarden app looks good to me. But then every app in the system OTHER than BitWarden feels like it has inconveniently large text.

Actual Result

Your entire app feels to me like it is one "font size" smaller than every other app on the system. The font seems to be different from my Android system font.

Screenshots or Videos

I am nervous including screenshots of my password manager, sorry.

Just a quick note to say I agree with the issue. I have the accessibility settings on my phone such that font size is where I need it, but the newly rolled out Android interface definitely feels one font size too small, as it were.

Appreciate you taking a look at this.

Apart from the fact that I am getting older (and thus my presbyopia is getting a bit worse every year), something is off with the spacing and the size of the font.

The font could be twice as big without compromising the spacing. I am not saying it should be twice its size, but that it could.
But currently there is just a lot of space wasted.

Oh, and in comparison with other apps, the size of the text is about 40-50% smaller.
I could change the font size on my phone, but then it would be too big for every other app.

Since a picture speaks more than a thousand words...

I believe the overall feel of the new design got better, but font sizes could still be increased by 15-20% across the board.

Maybe there is a way to add an option that allows to scale/zoom text under Settings -> Appearance. This option would apply to all text. e.g. increase text by 15%. (people could choose anything between 10% and 30%)

My opinion is that the font in Bitwarden looks different, smaller, and thinner than the fonts in any other software on my phone. I would still be happier as a Bitwarden user if the font in Bitwarden were the same font and font size that other apps use.

Other apps on my phone usually don't have or need a font-scale option, because they use the same font as other applications. If Bitwarden is really committed to its font choices, a font-scale option would be one way of making things better for my use case. But I think that would be kind of like Bitwarden admitting its fonts being unusually small is a problem without fixing the problem itself. It would make more sense to fix the problem (using the system font styling).
