Steps To Reproduce

With external keyboard connected to Ipad.

  1. Go to '+' to create a new login entry
  2. Click on 'username' field
  3. Start typing username
  4. first letter gets capitalized by default and cannot be toggle off

Expected Result

fist letter should not be capitalized in field, or should allow to toggle capitalization off.
This is possible with On-screen keyboard, but doesn't seem possible with External (Bluetooth) keyboard

Actual Result

First letter of username is automatically capitalized without option to redo-it or turn it off, regardless of pressing "SHIFT" or "CAPS" when using external keyboard on Ipad native app.

deleting the username and writing it again (using backspace) does not remove capitalization.

I believe this issue can be resolved by modifying an option in your iOS settings. On your iPad, please navigate to Settings > General > Keyboard > Hardware Keyboard and turn "Auto-Capitalization" off. More information can be found in Apple's support documentation here: https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/change-typing-assistance-options-iph6e86c4826/ios#:~:text=Go%20to%20Settings%20%3E%20General%20%3E%20Keyboard,in%20sentences%20as%20you%20type.
