Steps To Reproduce

When I increase the system font size, BitWarden can no longer successfully autofill on Android and Google Chrome on Android. It will detect that there exists a form to fill, but can never successfully fill the forms.

To reproduce, simply go to settings and increase the font size by one.

Image

Both BitWarden's auto fill services and Chrome auto fill integration is on.

Expected Result

It should work like it does with the default system font size.

Actual Result

Autofill is broken.

Issue Tracking Info

  • I understand that work is tracked outside of Github. A PR will be linked to this issue should one be opened to address it, but Bitwarden doesn't use fields like "assigned", "milestone", or "project" to track progress.

Another user here. - I can only partially reproduce this. In a first test round, when I had my browser (Vivaldi) open, the inline autofill indeed was gone for me when I increased the font size. But now I did a second test with all apps closed on my Android 15 device. And then when I opened Vivaldi, I could autofill just like before.

I thought of another test: rebooting my device. Can you reproduce the issue when you reboot?

It doesn't seem to be a complete impossibility for me to change the font and use autofill - but in certain circumstances, there indeed seems to be an issue with this.

OMG dude you figured it out for me!!!

I basically got a new phone.
Pixel 7 Pro to Pixel 10 Pro - during upgrade I decided I liked the smallest font possible. After using the phone, I was having a hard time getting Autofill to work!

Half the time inline does not appear. I tried switching to pop up. I tried re-toggling autofill services and chrome integration. Nothing really worked.

For the times that inline did work, clicking on the account does NOT fill in the fields. Jumping to Bitwarden and choosing autofill also does not work. Making the page view as Desktop -sometimes- works.

I came across this ticket and I increased my font-size and everything is working again! Strange!

EDIT: restarting didn't really change anything for me. What worked for me:
I was on the lowest possible font size. Increasing by 1 tick on the slider resolved my issues.

Had the same issue going to pixel 10 pro (from Pixel 9 pro xl) with no display changes from default. Changing the display up one size fixed the issue. Changing it back did not break it again. No restarts in between, just swiped up Chrome
