Steps To Reproduce

Description

In the Bitwarden Mobile app (Android), when editing an Identity item → Address section → "State" field:

  • The "State" field does not display any value when entering Edit mode, even if a value was previously entered and saved.
  • If I do not manually enter the "State" value again and click Save, the "State" field remains empty after saving.
  • Upon re-opening the Identity item and going to Edit again, the "State" field is still blank.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Bitwarden Android app.
  2. Go to Vault → open any Identity item → tap Edit.
  3. Scroll to Address section.
  4. Enter a value in the State field.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Re-open the Identity item.
  7. Tap Edit again.
  8. Observe: "State" field is blank — previously entered value is not shown.

This is a reproducible issue in the current version of the app.

Expected Result

  • The "State" value should:
    • Be displayed correctly in the "State" field when entering Edit mode.
    • Be saved and persisted after clicking Save.

Actual Result

  • The "State" value is saved internally (seems to sync), but is not displayed in the "State" field when entering Edit mode after saving — the field appears blank.
  • If Save is clicked without manually re-entering the "State" value again, the "State" field remains empty.

I was having this same issue while setting up my bitwarden account this week and thought I was losing my mind. Seems to still be happening on Android.

We have fixed this bug here. The state value will be auto-populated when you enter the edit cipher screen.

This update should make it out to the public in the 2025.8.1 release.
