Steps To Reproduce

Setup Yubi key as 2 step option via website
Login using iPad app

Expected Result

iPads do not have NFC so they should not preset the option to use a NFC key at all. I also have the option on the website that says "one of my keys supports NFC" unchecked so I shouldn't be presented with this option on any mobile device.

Actual Result

I'm presented with a screen telling me to hold my key next to my device and the alternative option to use a TTOP code is hidden behind the non-obvious 3 dot menu in the upper right.

At the absolute least the alternative 2FA options should be listed via a button on the main screen and not hidden behind a menu

This is not a duplicate of that post

The main points of this bug report…

  1. No iPad ever made has NFC so the yubikey option should NEVER be presented when iPadOS is detected.

  2. I have the "one of my keys supports NFC" option unchecked so the yubikey option should NEVER be presented on any of my mobile devices even if they do support NFC.

  3. It is horrible UX to hide the alternative TTOP behind the non-obvious 3 dot menu instead of presenting it as a button on this screen.
