Now that Android is cracking down on accessibility APIs, one thing that I would like to support is the "Add Copy Notifications" feature that some competitors have. The way the feature works is, you go into your Vault, find the site you need user/pass for, long press, and select the option "Add Copy Notifications". Immediately, two Notifications are added to your Notification shade. One says "Copy Username", the other "Copy Password". Then you go back to the app you need to input a user/pass, click the Copy Username notification which copies the username into the clipboard, then paste it into the login form. Then repeat for password. It's not as good as autofill, but it beats going back and forth to Bitwarden multiple times if you don't have autofill.

On clicking the notification, the notification should dissappear - its a one time use notification for obvious reasons. The competitor apps also seem to somehow clear the clipboard after a period of time.

In addition to the obvious on-phone benefits, one of the reasons I want this feature is the Fire TV use case. Typing a Bitwarden-generated password into a arrow-navigated on-screen-keyboard is brutal. I use the Fire TV remote control on my phone, since you can just copy from Bitwarden in your phone, and paste into the remote app on the same phone, and voila you quickly input your entire user/pass on the TV. However, when you leave the app (go to get your password from Bitwarden), it disconnects from the Fire TV. And for some reason, most of the time when I come back to the FireTV from Bitwarden, the entire Fire TV remote app hangs. It's pretty painful, but the process would be pretty easy with Copy Notifications.

I am confused as to how this is different than just copying the value from the app. If you're already in the app to spawn the notification why not just copy the value to clipboard?

Because you cannot copy both username and password at the same time. Some apps even lose state when you leave, making the multiple trips back to Bitwarden impossible.
