Steps To Reproduce

  1. Open a login page
  2. See that the autofill option doesn't appear on keyboard or in the pop-up menu

Expected Result

It should allow me to login using the keyboard.

Actual Result

Nothing happens, I have to open the Bitwarden app manually and copy the username, then copy the password.

Screenshots or Videos

No response

Additional Context

I haven't changed any settings but did recently update app. I am using SwiftKey and tried with Samsung Keyboard, same problem. I see the option to for compatability or something like that was removed in the latest update which broke the autofill again. Please enable the option?

Build Version

2026.3.1

What server are you connecting to?

US

Self-host Server Version

Also I am using a Samsung Fold device. I think the compatability option for autofill should be enabled again to fix this.

Samsung Internet Browser

I just checked that (on my Fairphone 5, though): With Samsung Internet Browser, I do get autofill suggestions on the Community Forums site and here on the GitHub login page (PS: I only tested inline suggestions). Could you check both?

Kiwi Browser (no longer available on Play Store)

I didn't follow that - but if Kiwi was not supported any longer, then probably it's not supported by Bitwarden either...

Could you add all app/device details from the BW Android app? (you can find those in Settings --> About --> Version... just copy & paste them, best as an edit to your OP)

PS: Ah, and this time, I didn't forget it 😉: depending on how this goes here, you can record and send BW Flight Recorder data, to see what is happening on your device.

Another PS:

I see the option to for compatability or something like that was removed in the latest update which broke the autofill again. Please enable the option?

FYI, that was changed already a few versions ago... and it wasn't removed, but more like "enabled by default". So, that already should still be "enabled". (of course, I can't vouch for other changes that may have been made in the meantime... there's always the possibility for new bugs 😅)

Hi there,

I attempted to reproduce your issue and was unable to do so. For this testing I used a Samsung Galaxy S25+ with the latest version of Bitwarden's app.

I would recommend first performing a clean reinstallation of the Bitwarden app using the steps below:

  • Uninstall the Bitwarden app
  • Restart the device (perform a full power cycle, shutting the device down completely and then restarting it)
  • Reinstall Bitwarden from the download link below

Bitwarden Downloads: https://bitwarden.com/download

We use GitHub issues as a place to track bugs and other development related issues. If your issue persists following the clean reinstallation, please write us back using our “Contact support” form located on our Help Center (https://bitwarden.com/help/).

Including the flight recorder logs that @pamperer562580892423 (thank you as always for chiming in!) mentioned would be helpful.

You can include a link to this issue in the message content.

Alternatively, you can also search for an answer in our help documentation or get help from other Bitwarden users on our community forums (https://community.bitwarden.com/c/support/).

The issue here will be closed.

Thanks!
