Verified feature request does not already exist?

  • I have searched and found no existing issue

💻

  • Would you like to implement this feature?

Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

Summary: show values for the category budget shortcuts so user knows what they're about to apply before applying it.

I do all my budgeting on mobile, and usually work down the category tree and set the budget for the month - I typically will use one of the shortcuts: last month, last 3, last 6, etc based on what I feel is most sensible

the problem I face is that sometimes these average periods might have outliers and skew the values, but I don't see that until I select the option and then realise its way too high or low, so instead I'll pick a different option and then tweak the value manually - the behavior is then select category, tap multiple budget shortcuts until I find the value I think is best - so this is a bunch of unecessary clicks.

instead, it'd be a nice quality of life feature if the values were displayed to the right of the shortcut, like I've mocked up here - then I can just pick the one I really want, or set manually if nothing looks good.
