What happened?

As far as I can recall, this is a regression from my October build - hitting Cmd+Q does nothing; I need to go to the menu and hit 'Exit' with my mouse (and this is the only thing in the Actual menu), or right-click on Dock icon > Quit to get the desktop app to actually shut down.

I would expect a good Mac citizen app to have other common menu items there e.g. hide, settings etc, bound to standard keyboard shortcuts so it behaves as expected. There's no edit menu with Cut-Copy-Paste which means that doesn't seem to work everywhere either. Here's an example of Firefox:
