Verified issue does not already exist?

  • I have searched and found no existing issue

What happened?

I created report that compares single category spendings month by month, but after latest release it's either incomplete or missing data at all, but only for few categories. I tried rollback, and for a brief moment I seen reports working, but after page refresh I got notification, that I have to update Actual.

How can we reproduce the issue?

Unsure

Where are you hosting Actual?

Docker

What browsers are you seeing the problem on?

Chrome

Operating System

Mac OSX

We need a way to recreate the issue, or an example budget to look at.

I also split out my mortgage payments like that but the report is generating as I would expect on my end.

Can you try to recreate this issue in the demo and then upload that example here? It can be really simple, like one or two transactions that are setup the same way then the same report.

Also, are there any errors in the browser console please? https://appuals.com/open-browser-console/

There is no errors in browser console. I created an export that should work on your setup.

P.S. Loans report also incomplete

This is because your report is set to split by payee, but the payee is blank on all of the transactions with "Interests" as the category.

In example file I removed too much of data, but as you can see in my original screenshot - there was payees set and this report was working before update, so there is still a bug here.

Anyways, even this is closed, I think I found out what was the issue, when payee and off budget account name matches, report fails..

I tried multiple times - renaming payee to different name than off budget account and reverting back, renaming off budget account and reverting it back.

Thank you for the information, if it has changed between versions then something has definitely crept in! Can you share a new example budget that displays this behaviour please?
