Is this related to GoCardless, Simplefin or another bank-sync provider?

  • I have checked my server logs and could not see any errors there
  • I will be attaching my server logs to this issue
  • I will be attaching my client-side (browser) logs to this issue
  • I understand that this issue will be automatically closed if insufficient information is provided

What happened?

According to https://actualbudget.org/docs/getting-started/tips-tricks/ (and my previous experiences), pressing the Enter key after typing an amount into a category on the Budget screen should move the cursor to the next/below budget category to allow editing. On both Firefox and Chrome, pressing enter is registered, as the focus disappears from the current budget category cell, but nothing else happens. It does not move to the next category.

I am on 24.3.0.

What error did you receive?

No error. Focus simply disappeared, and cursor did not jump to next budget category.

Where are you hosting Actual?

Other

What browsers are you seeing the problem on?

Firefox, Chrome

@Teprifer ah yes, you're probably right. Thanks for cross-tagging the other issue. When I was searching for similar issues, I kept using "enter" as one of the keywords (the other issue doesn't ever use the word "category" either which made it hard to find). I can confirm that the Tab key also doesn't move between categories.
