@niceguy4 commented on GitHub (Mar 16, 2025):
I installed wsl to handle the bash issue. I've restarted my computer and I've run CMD.exe as Administrator.
yarn build:serverThe file does exist.
if exist "D:\Project\TEST2\actual\bin\package-browser" echo TrueAs a side note and hope not to derail the post, I can get everything to work correctly if I use wsl to install a linux virtual machine distro and use the virtual machine to run the build:server but I cannot get
yarn build:serverto work in Windows -> CMD.exe@MikesGlitch commented on GitHub (Mar 19, 2025):
Bash is needed to build the package. You can install bash for windows here: https://git-scm.com/downloads
Once it's installed you can open it and run
yarn build:serverthenyarn start:serverto start it.Alternatively we have a desktop app, docker images etc which are less technical.
@niceguy4 commented on GitHub (Mar 20, 2025):
Installed bash from the link. Still getting this error.
yarn build:serverI'd imagine that I should be able to run yarn from cmd.exe, correct?
edit: Nevermind. I can get
yarn build:serverto run if I run the command inside Git Bash and not directly from cmd.exe. I run the Git Bash program (image).Good stuff. Learn something new everyday. @MikesGlitch Thank you.
