I suggest to add The Tour to the top level menu as this is more akin to marketing material than actual documentation of AB.

Expected behavior

I think this is a great idea; this is like Actuals version of "schedule a demo"

I agree! We just need to figure out what it's going to exactly look like and the wording.

This was done somewhere along the line and should be closed.

IMO, very opinionated thoughts on the Tour.

If you are thinking to put this as a menu item separately on the website top level menu, it will need to be rewritten first. As a marketing piece, it is overly long and way too detailed. It reads more as a how-to than a why-use. As of right now, it minimally needs copyediting.

On the front website page is a list of features with marketing links. The links take you to the docs, but not the tour. The docs don't take you back. I found this quite disconcerting. Also, when I was setting up the software, I couldn't remember where I had seen something in the docs, but I remembered seeing it somewhere. For example, Starting Fresh is separated from Accounts & Transactions by Budgeting and some other starting out stuff is some other place and then there's the Tour.

Nothing in the tour should be unique. Anything unique in the tour needs to be copied out and be put into the docs. The tour should not contain any "documentation", just marketing. The features list on the front page should expand into the tour, not take you to the the main docs. If you don't want expanding sections on the front page, the features list should have only one link, a big one, at the bottom, to the tour. "Take a Tour of Actual Budget". The tour should be self-contained and should not be listed in the docs section or even the top website menu, but only as a link from the front page. It should only contain expanded information/screen shots about the features list.
