What happened?

When entering a new transaction on iPad, the category selection drop-down opens but tapping any item has no effect — the category is never selected and the drop-down remains open.

The payee drop-down works correctly under identical conditions.

How can we reproduce the issue?

  1. Open Actual Budget (v26.3.0 ) in Safari on iPad (iPadOS 26.3.1)
  2. Navigate to any account and tap + Add New in the transaction list
  3. Tap the Category field — the drop-down opens and categories are listed
  4. Tap any category in the list

Expected: Category is selected and field populates

Actual: Nothing happens; category is not applied

Where are you hosting Actual?

Docker

What browsers are you seeing the problem on?

Does it work as expected if you create a demo budget on https://edge.actualbudget.org/? IIRC this is broken for me as well on 26.3.0 but works on latest edge release.

Thanks for filing a bug report. Confirmed that this is working on edge version - the April release will include the fix.
