Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

With custom reports coming soon, it'll be useful to be able to export some of those reports. Being able to generate a nice looking PDF that contains the data/table/chart/whatever in a report would make things like end of year paperwork for taxes much easier.

Describe your ideal solution to this problem

On each report page, include a button or menu item allowing the user to export the currently viewed report. I would imagine keeping it simpler would be better, from a users perspective. Let the user customize the look of the export by modifying the custom report, not the export itself.

Some additional features that could come later, and make creating exportable reports more friendly, but is probably outside the scope of this feature request, just putting here for discussion to give the main request some context:

Allow the user to group reports, say for example some reports are more useful for looking at in a browser, some are more useful for printing off. Keep the reports that are more frequently viewed in the webui uncluttered by grouping them together, or giving them a priority on the reports page, or hide infrequently viewed reports.

Allow a user to clone an existing report, so they could make tweaks to make it nicer to print, but not mess up the look of the report they use in the webui.

To give it some context in documentation, mention things like reports that would be useful for your CPA when helping you prepare taxes: non-taxable income, list of charitable donations, business expenses, and other tax writeoffs.
