Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

It seems like this is not necessary since it simply manages focus and doesn’t do anything more complicated. Removing it will simplify the code a bit. That said, there may be some behavior that it produces which is desirable. Hard to tell without trying out removing it.
