What happened?

Im trying to set the Spending Report date to a month before using the Average, and it will not save

Changing date to March:

Saved, still shows April data:

How can we reproduce the issue?

  1. Create a Spending Analysis and set it to Live + Average + any filters you like
  2. Save
  3. Edit the report, and change the Compare month to an earlier month (March for me)
  4. Save
  5. View report on Report page and see that it still shows the originally selected month

Where are you hosting Actual?

Docker

What browsers are you seeing the problem on?

Firefox

Operating System

Windows 11

Reproduction Confirmed

I successfully reproduced this bug on:

Item Value
Version v26.4.0 (latest)
OS Windows 11
Browser/App edge
Hosting Docker / Local-only

Steps I followed (exactly as described):

  1. Created a new Spending Analysis report
  2. Set to: Live mode + Average comparison + no filters
  3. Saved the report
  4. Clicked Edit → changed Compare month from April to March
  5. Clicked Save again
  6. Viewed the report on the Reports page

Result:
The report still shows April data. The March selection was not saved.

Additional observation:
I tried this 3

times and it happens consistently. Other report settings (like filters) do save correctly – only the date range seems to be ignored.
