Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

For those using credit cards for their primary spending, it would be great having a credit card "Budget" view of the transactions during its billing cycle. For example, I want to spend no more than $1,000 on my credit card over the course of the billing cycle, which runs from the 11th to the 10th of every month. The default budget view only shows 1st to the last day of the month which forces me to track the credit card spending on a separate sheet. Since I aim to stay within budgeted amounts every billing cycle, there is no intuitive way in Actual to get this view. Having this within Actual would be so much more practical since all transactions are already input there.

Describe your ideal solution to this problem

Aside from the default "Budget" tab, there would be add'l Budget tabs for every credit card where the user would input the 1st and last day of the billing cycle respectively. These would be alternative views of the budget based primarily on the credit card billing cycle.

Teaching and learning

Tracking your budget through the credit card billing cycle would allow for greater control of credit card spending.
