Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

Currently, the account-specific functionality is limited. All accounts are crammed into the bottom of the sidebar. I understand that, for the average user, this is not of any particular hinderance. However, for the subset of users who are using the platform to track many accounts, there is much to be desired. Currently, there is no built-in way to label accounts, sort/filter/collate accounts, color-code, or track different attributes.

Describe your ideal solution to this problem

While the solution may be ambiguous, I think a dedicated page for viewing accounts in a list or grid would be a great approach that does not compromise existing functionality or inconvenience users with minimal accounts. This page could implement many of the above desires, such as:

  • Labelling accounts
  • Sorting/filter/collating accounts
  • Concealing/revealing accounts from the sidebar without deleting the accts themselves
  • Custom account attributes

For example, here are some things which would be useful for me:

  • Sort accounts by current balance, descending
  • Show open checking accounts with a balance less than $50 (exclude savings, credit cards, etc)
  • Sort accounts by last transaction date, descending
  • Filter all accounts by open date (custom attribute) before 2025-01-01, then sort the results by open date ascending
  • Add different labels (maybe with colors?) to different accounts, then group by those labels
