What happened?

Add Category Group filtering in custom report widget when using the newly introduced "Budgeted Type in #6903.

Currently only the Category filter works with the newly introduced budgeted type in the custom report.

This issues is similar to issue #7116 for the Budget Analysis Report.

How can we reproduce the issue?

  1. Create a New Custom Report
  2. Select Type (Budgeted)
  3. Try to filter by Category Group = X or one of {X,Y,Z}
    Nothings happens.

Where are you hosting Actual?

Docker

What browsers are you seeing the problem on?

Chrome

Operating System

Windows 11

@Kelpy2004 commented on GitHub (Apr 26, 2026):

Hi, I’d like to work on this issue.
I’m a TypeScript/full-stack developer and I’d like to improve the Plan/Act mode controls so screen readers announce the correct role and selected state, either with native radio controls or ARIA-compliant markup. I’ll also check if there are existing UI tests I can update or add.
