What happened?

I'm using Actual 26.3.0.

Contrary to what is stated in bug #6366 (and PR #6367), when I add a new calendar report widget to a dashboard, transfers are still included by default. Please fix and exclude them by default.

How can we reproduce the issue?

Add a new calendar report widget to a dashboard and choose a month which has transfers.

Where are you hosting Actual?

Docker

What browsers are you seeing the problem on?

Microsoft Edge

Operating System

Windows 11

Transfers are excluded from the dashboard cards that are shown on the default dashboard, not new calendar reports created by users. If you'd like them excluded, you can add the filter to your reports to exclude them.

Seems counter-intuitive as transfers do not appear in any report by default and I assume most users would also expect them not to appear on the calendar. I can't even think of a sensible use case when I would like to see them. Anyway, it's not critical, more an annoyance and maybe something to be more clearly documented.

you could use them to map your credit card or loan payments over a month for example.

our general philosophy is to not exclude things from reports, rather let users do it if they'd like to. if we disallow it, there's no way for you to ever see it. if we allow it, you have the choice both ways
