Verified feature request does not already exist?

  • I have searched and found no existing issue

💻

  • Would you like to implement this feature?

Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

Just a minor quality of life improvement:
On the Budget page it would be helpful to see a visual value change indicator (current vs. previous month) for the budgeted value of each category. Especially in cases, where a budget with many categories has been planned 1 year in advance and needs to be updated with new values afterwards, it would help to be able to identify changed budgeted values at a glance.

Example (for each category):

  1. January budgeted: 100,00 - February budgeted 150,00 -> indicate value increase
  2. January budgeted: 100,00 - February budgeted 50,00 -> indicate value decrease
  3. January budgeted: 100,00 - February budgeted 100,00 -> no indicator

Describe your ideal solution to this problem

A solution could be colorization of the text and/or table cell or an icon.

  1. Value increase: Red Text/Cell or Arrow Up Icon
  2. Value decrease: Green Text/Cell or Arrow Down Icon
  3. Value unchanged: Default color or no Icon

Teaching and learning

Should be self explanatory. A short description in the documentation should suffice. Maybe UI popup help on cells with active change indicators could be considered. Can't think of any negative impact on the users.
