What happened?

When I click on the 'privacy mode' button, it changes the font only to a different (still very legible) instead of just being squigly lines.

Opening up the inspector, it seems to switch between the Noto Serif Regular and Noto Sans Regular.

This was working well before.

I am a developer too, and I have found issues like that in other apps, when it defaults to another font when the requested font cannot be found.

How can we reproduce the issue?

I think it's due to my Firefox Privacy Settings because

  • I tried turning off my ad blocker (uBlock Origin), doesn't change anything
  • I tried running Firefox without any addons, doesn't change anything
  • I tried running in on a blank Firefox profile, it works as intended
  • I tried on Chrome, it works as intended

Interesting, I can't replicate this myself. The font should be provided by the site, not loaded from the device.

Are you able to provide some settings I could use to replicate this on Firefox? As you've pointed out, it seems config specific.
