Verified feature request does not already exist?

  • I have searched and found no existing issue

💻

  • Would you like to implement this feature?

Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

Some reporting metrics would be useful, but this idea wouldn't reside in the reports section. Many applications have tabs on the right hand view that allow additional windows to be exposed or hidden without compromising too much screen real estate. I propose adding at least 1 tab to show a basic analysis of either budgeted numbers or spent numbers next to the "1 Month" desktop view. This interaction could feel like the current sidebar design on the left hand side. I'm not much of an artist, but I think the two images I provided get the point across.

I envision this interaction to force the desktop view to the "1 month" view when activated and revert back to the users preferred multi-month or 1 month view when hidden. I could also envision a floating tab over the budget if used on a smaller screen or narrower window in desktop view, similar to how the sidebar behaves now.

Describe your ideal solution to this problem
