WIP: Feature/Bug Fix Description
This PR is a work in progress. The final release note will be added once it's ready for review.

I've opened this pull request early, before starting implementation, to ensure that no duplicate work is being done, following the project's contribution guidelines. If I'm overstepping any rules, please let me know—I'm happy to learn and improve.

I'm new to open-source contributions. I've been using this application to track my budget for some time and would love to be part of this community.
