Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

Bank sync memos sync into the notes field. For those who would like memos to be synced but would also like a dedicated field for notes, this poses a problem

Describe your ideal solution to this problem

I would like to add a memo field to transactions to reclaim the Notes field for human-only notes. I’d also be open to adding a new “Description” field if that would be easier than rerouting memo to a different field. I would essentially like to alias the fields in the UI in this mode so the fields “read sensibly” still

Teaching and learning

This could either be a setting, or gradually become the default for those who configure memos to be synced in their bank sync settings. Documentation could be added as well of course.
