Verified feature request does not already exist?

  • I have searched and found no existing issue

💻

  • Would you like to implement this feature?

Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

Securing self-hosted and homelab type resources usually means requiring these applications to be accessible as local-only applications or through a VPN solution. While this is generally fine for the advanced user, it can be some what cumbersome for novice users to get used to connecting a VPN to access these resources. With the growing popularity of mTLS authentication, I believe this would be an ideal candidate application for the technology. While mTLS works with the Actual Budget web-app, on desktop and mobile, it does not work in the desktop application.

Describe your ideal solution to this problem

Ideally, the desktop application would allow the user to specify a certificate to use for client mTLS authentication.
