Verified issue does not already exist?
What happened?
When i click on 1 of the accounts i get the dates in reverse order:
When i press date, it does flip from decending to ascending.
How can we reproduce the issue?
go to your account --> press on date
Where are you hosting Actual?

What browsers are you seeing the problem on?

Windows 11
@db-src commented on GitHub (Jan 8, 2026):
Not a bug. Default is to show latest txns because that's most likely what most users want to see.
@Prankish8407 commented on GitHub (Jan 8, 2026):
understood, is there a way we can add the Ascending / Decending option somewhere.
Personally i prefer the upcomming payments to be on top of the list, not at the bottom of the list.
Thanks for the quick reply @db-src
@youngcw commented on GitHub (Jan 8, 2026):
Upcoming are at the top. I'm not sure what the problem is here.
@Prankish8407 commented on GitHub (Jan 8, 2026):
Thats would make sense to me as well, this is the latest docker version.
if you require some logs or anything let me know, and please let me know.
When pressing the date, it does not change the acending / decending.
These are my settings:
It used to have i think MM-DD-YY (american format) same issue, even when i change it to european format dd-mm-yy same issue.
so for easy of formatting i tought i'd change it to yyyy-mm-dd but same result.
@db-src commented on GitHub (Jan 8, 2026):
Again, your screenshot shows upcoming at top, sorted descending as you want . . . So where is the problem?
@Prankish8407 commented on GitHub (Jan 8, 2026):
It goes from 29 to 28 to 25
i want it to go from 25 to 28 to 29
@db-src commented on GitHub (Jan 8, 2026):
So you want upcoming payments at the top, then posted transactions, but each of those groups to be sorted ASCending?
Perhaps create an example of what you want to see as soon as you click into an account, e.g. as a screenshot of a spreadsheet with fake data showing the desired result clearly. So far it has not been at all clear what you want. But anyway I imagine it'll end up being a feature request, not a bug.
